The Pandas World Tour!

/ by

For a collaborative international project called the Pandas World Tour, French artist Paulo Gangeon, the World Wildlife FundPMQ and creative studio AllRightsReserved created a pack of 1600 papier mâché pandas that’s touring cities all over the world to help raise awareness to the plight of the giant panda.

It looks like an awful lot of pandas until you learn that there are fewer than 1600 giant pandas left in the wild, and their numbers are dwindling. So what you see in each of these urban landscape photos is a startling representation of exactly how many pandas we still have, which isn’t nearly enough.

It’s a papier mâché panda invasion with a very important purpose!
