Santa Claus Needs Your Help!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Christmas is coming up fast and Santa&#8217;s got too much to do by himself! Luckily, there&#8217;s a way you can help!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>For over 100 years, the United States Postal Service has been getting letters from good little boys and girls addressed to the big man himself, Santa Claus. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Like this one:<\/strong><\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"828\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-15713\" src=\"https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Puppy-Dog-Kitten-Cat-Fuzzy-Puppy.jpg\" alt=\"puppy-dog-kitten-cat-fuzzy-puppy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Puppy-Dog-Kitten-Cat-Fuzzy-Puppy.jpg 640w, https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Puppy-Dog-Kitten-Cat-Fuzzy-Puppy-495x640.jpg 495w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/>\n<p><strong>In 1912, Postmaster General Frank Hitchcock began\u00a0allowing\u00a0postal employees and citizens to respond to the children&#8217;s letters. By the 1940s, community organizations and other groups were penning\u00a0responses\u00a0to the little ones too. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This cool service is called <a href=\"https:\/\/about.usps.com\/holidaynews\/operation-santa.htm\">Operation Santa<\/a> and it still exists today!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the fun part, in <a href=\"https:\/\/about.usps.com\/holidaynews\/pdf\/2016_op_santa_locations.pdf?20161129\">certain U.S. cities<\/a> ordinary people can &#8220;adopt&#8221; a Santa letter by\u00a0either responding to the note or fulfilling the children&#8217;s Christmas wishes!! \u00a0That&#8217;s right, you can choose to adopt a letter and send the children toys!
