Three long weeks later I finally emerged from the dense woodland of Presidio in rags, shivering &amp; reduced to skin and bones (I might be exaggerating). Anyway the point of this story is that after getting lost I came across a park, but this park looked like no other park. Everything looked stunning- water trickled around me down a creek, through slabs of rock and into a peaceful lake whilst perfectly placed lights conjured a glow around the setting. For a moment I thought I&#8217;d crashed someone&#8217;s elaborate wedding proposal- that&#8217;s how good this place looked. Turns out I&#8217;d actually stumbled onto part of the Industrial Light &amp; Magic campus and was in George Lucas&#8217; epic 17 acre public landscape (having looked it up later I found out the part I&#8217;d come across was near the Letterman Digital Arts Center). Not a hidden gem as such but somewhere I wouldn&#8217;t have intentionally come across, so the moral is- turn your phone off occasionally &amp; go get lost. So here in Barcelona it made sense to do a photo with the Torre Agbar, home to the Barcelona water company. It\u2019s a glass bottomed walkaway that extends out over the sea. This view is it from below, but when you\u2019re walking on it and looking down whilst speeding through the waves it\u2019s a bit of a trip. Many say he produces the best ros\u00e9 in the world at his vineyard in Domaine de Terrebrune, but he refuses to enter competitions to cement his status. Instead he only wants his wine in the most exclusive of hotels and in the finest wine cellars around the world. However he sells his wine locally at an affordable price so that anyone in the region can try it. Until I got to Rome I hadn\u2019t either, but it\u2019s a word the Romans used to describe simulated naval fights &#8211; they were like gladiator battles on a bigger and wetter scale. Sometimes special structures were built and other times lakes were used, but there is evidence that the colosseum was once turned into a gladiatorial water world for a naumachia (the more you say that word, the more addictive it becomes). According to the Roman historian Cassius Dio, a sea fight took place in the amphitheatre in 86 AD. Ships, weapons and thousands of men were brought in and since every effort was made to make a naumachia (I bet you\u2019re saying it out loud now) a colossal event, even sea creatures were shipped in from around the globe &#8211; hence why I put an octopus inside the colosseum, because y\u2019know when in Rome, do as the Romans do. I spent nine days aboard Royal Princess, the ship christened by HRH the Duchess of Cambridge (and featured in the ITV documentary The Cruise). It\u2019s one of the biggest and flashiest cruise ships in the world. It\u2019s longer than the Eiffel tower and taller than Tower Bridge, and with nineteen decks I found it very easy to get lost on board. It&#8217;s also an opportunity to see if I can do a blue run and stay upright (yeah, I&#8217;m a beginner). The week starts in Tignes, or more specifically up here at the Aiguille Perc\u00e9e (The Eye of The Needle). This is on a red run (a difficult run) so I cheated and took a snowmobile up &amp; down with one of the piste staff. We set off before the slopes were open and just as the sun rose over the Alps- you probably don&#8217;t need me to tell you how special that looked. After getting this shot at the rock formation I joined the staff for coffee in their alpine hut whilst playing with their two huskies.
