Anne Russo, a quarantined high school film teacher in Michigan, has been re-creating scenes from movies for her students! Lucky for me, she&#8217;s a fan of mine and re-created THIS familiar movie moment from <em>Pee-wee&#8217;s Big Adventure<\/em>!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>See the other film scenes she re-created over at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/picture-gallery\/news\/local\/michigan\/2020\/04\/21\/quarantine-film-teacher-re-creates-movie-moments-her-students\/5169274002\/\"><em>Detroit News:<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"speakable-p-2 p-text\">Anne Russo, who teaches Study of Film as Literature to juniors and seniors at Holt High School, has been dressing up as her favorite film characters and posting the pictures for her students in an online Google Classroom.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">She&#8217;s donned Michael Myers&#8217; mask, Indiana Jones&#8217;\u00a0leather jacket\u00a0and Charlie Chaplin&#8217;s hat and mustache. She&#8217;s dressed up as Pee-Wee Herman in &#8220;Pee Wee&#8217;s Big Adventure,&#8221; Wayne Campbell from &#8220;Wayne&#8217;s World&#8221; and iconic characters from &#8220;The Breakfast Club,&#8221; &#8220;Say Anything&#8221; and &#8220;101 Dalmations,&#8221; all\u00a0to continue to share her love of film with her students, whose school year was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">&#8220;It&#8217;s been a really positive part of the quarantine for me,&#8221; says Russo, who has taught at Holt High for 20 years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p-text\">The project has also given her motivation while indulging her love of dressing up, and has kept her from\u00a0going crazy in isolation.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #999999;\"><em>photo via Anne Russo<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How cool is this?
