I’m a gigantic Prince fan. I loved him so much and had the privilege of knowing him a tiny bit. The legacy he left behind is so important and fantastic, and his messages of love, peace, emotion and struggle resonate more now than ever. In 2015, following the death of Freddie Gray at the hands of police, he wrote the protest song “Baltimore” where he sang, “The system is broken. It’s going to take the young people to fix it this time. We need new ideas, new life.”

Rest In Peace, dude. You are missed by so many and still inspiring us. Happy birthday. ❤️
