On this day in 1986, Pee-wee&#8217;s Playhouse debuted on CBS!!!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>On September 13, 1986, my TV show <em>Pee-wee&#8217;s Playhouse<\/em> debuted on television!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The first episode was titled &#8220;Ice Cream Soup&#8221; and it first aired on this day in 1986! My show&nbsp;ran for five seasons and picked up 22 Emmy Awards!&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"568\" src=\"https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CBS-Pee-wees-Playhouse.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20483\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So many people write to tell me they\u2019re introducing my show to their children and that they love it, which is so great to hear!&nbsp;It\u2019s cool to know the next generation will be raised on Jambi, Miss Yvonne, Cowboy Curtis, Reba the mail lady, Captain Carl, Magic Screen, Conky, Globey, Chairry, Pterri, Randy, and everyone in the Playhouse!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/2cciD0U\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"640\" height=\"878\" src=\"https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pee-wees-Playhouse-on-blu-ray.jpg\" alt=\"pee-wees-playhouse-on-blu-ray\" class=\"wp-image-14589\" srcset=\"https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pee-wees-Playhouse-on-blu-ray.jpg 640w, https:\/\/peewee.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Pee-wees-Playhouse-on-blu-ray-467x640.jpg 467w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>AND the ENTIRE <em>Pee-wee\u2019s Playhouse<\/em>\u00a0series has been REMASTERED and is available on <a href=\"https:\/\/shoutfactory.com\/products\/pee-wees-playhouse-the-complete-series-deluxe-limited-edition\">blu-ray<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1GwI43t\">DVD<\/a>!!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I spent over a year supervising the meticulous restoration of my show and it looks spectacular, <em>if I do say so myself<\/em>! The show was shot on film but then immediately transferred to tape. The editing and all the effects were all done on the videotape version and the program was never, ever, seen on film by anyone&#8230; until last year!!&nbsp;The colors and detail are truly amazing. Honest!
