How's This For A New Year's Kiss: Squirrel Smooches With Dinosaur
A toy dinosaur proved a roaring hit with one amorous squirrel - earning itself an intimate kiss.
The cheeky critter was pictured spying the plastic prehistoric toy on a garden table before moving in to give it a hug.
It then lent over to plant a squirrely kiss on the toothy mouth - all the while cradling the unmoved T-Rex's head.
But it wasn't simple Jurassic attraction that tempted the bushy-tailed Romeo.
Photographer Elliott C Nathan had mischievously placed a tasty seed in the dinosaur's mouth.
He explains: "I took these photos in my yard in Boulder, Colorado. I spent about half an hour getting the squirrel to trust me with seeds then I started putting them onto things.
"He was careful about the dinosaur at first, but finally his hunger got the best of him and he went in for the kiss."
