Every year since 1965, in the garden of their summer house in the eastern German town of Saalfeld, Volker Kraft and his wife Christa spend up to two weeks decorating an apple tree with their collection of 10,000 colorful hand-painted Easter eggs in preparation for Easter celebrations.
