There are a few different bird celebration days each year. Today is National Bird Day.
Something not generally known about me is that I am a twitcher. I love birds! So I’m happy to be pointing out National Bird Day because the future survival and well-being of the world’s birds depends on public education and support for conservation.
Almost 12 percent of the world’s 9,800 bird species may face extinction within the next century, including nearly one-third of the world’s 330 parrot species. Parrots!!!
