DID YOU KNOW? Doughnut Day was “created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the men and women who served donuts to soldiers during World War I.”

It’s true!

“Doughnut Dollies were women volunteers of the Salvation Army, who traveled to France in 1918 to support US soldiers.”

Of course, you know, Pee-wee, we do not even need to argue about this. But I’m just wondering how many donuts I can eat on a bet … For this day we can sacrifice ourselves, right?

One of my aunt’s worked at Dawn’s Donuts when I was a kid.
    Thanks for sharing this, Paul!

  • Donuts remind me of this show I used to watch as a kid where The Donut Man runs a donut repair shop and kids come to help him. Cheesy but I loved it at the time. https://youtu.be/T93eGS6bl4w
