Giant potato or hotel room? YES!

/ by

Ceci n’est pas une pomme de terre. It’s a HOTEL ROOM inside a big fake potato!

Thanks to the Idaho Potato Commission, this steel-and-plaster tuber now lives on a 400-acre plot of land outside of Boise and is available to rent.

The simple giant potato structure was converted to a hotel room by tiny home builder, Kristie Wolfe.

The single room at the fully-furnished Big Idaho Potato Hotel rents for $200/night from Airbnb!

Here’s a look of what’s inside the 28-foot long windowless spud:

Its bathroom is a separate structure:

What do you think? Would you spend a night in a giant fake potato? I know I would, don’t have to ask me twice!

Oh, no windows! What a great opportunity to get complete privacy … Although, probably, the poems written in this room will have the taste of chips or potato salad. (And the whole field planted with such a “potato” is already a chain of hotels … Tempting!) Thank you, Pee-wee, this is very cute!
