Early tomorrow morning, there’s going to the last FULL MOON of THIS YEAR!!! It’s really SPECIAL because it reaches its peak fullness at 12:12 a.m. EST… and tomorrow’s date is 12/12!!! Twelve-twelve x 2!

Also… NASA shared the alt-names of this special full moon:

Cold Moon, Oak Moon, Moon before Yule, Long Night Moon, Uduvapa Poya, the Karthikai Deepam Moon and the Chang’e Moon

  • Helen Gircko

Magic alt-names! NASA can already release a collection of poems about how the moon changes face depending on the change of name. (Hmm, considering the illustration of this post … the result should be interesting). Thanks for the info, Pee-wee!
