A 12-year-old animator made “Pee-wee’s Playhouse: Quarantine Edition”!!

I have to tell you about Luke Cecil, a 12-year-old fan of mine. His mom, Brittany, has been a fan since she was three and introduced Luke to my work when he was just two!! So, it makes sense that she got tickets for both of them to see the Big Adventure 35th Anniversary tour when it was going through Chicago. Well, he was also SUPPOSED to meet me backstage after the show — but it got postponed due to the coronavirus situation!! So, very very sadly, we didn’t get the chance to meet in person. BUT, we HAVE been communicating and he sent me some of the animations he made, which are inspired by me!! I asked his mom to help him get them on YouTube so I could share them with all of you!! He used to really be into puppets and ventriloquism, but switched over to animation recently.

The first one is based off a personal experience, I’m told. Luke’s mom brought him to see my Broadway show when he was real little and, after the show, when he was trying to meet me, there was a loud lady screaming! The second one, Pee-wee’s Playhouse: Quarantine Edition, brings the threat of COVID-19 into my playhouse!! It’s unauthorized but I’m going to let that go! ENJOY!! Luke, if you’re reading this, THANK YOU!!
