Mary Wilson co-founded The Supremes when she was 15 years old! She was a trailblazer and legendary icon. To me as a kid, her group was one of the Wonders of the World. They were, and are, up there with apple pie and baseball in American culture. And worldwide. The Supremes changed so many things about music, entertainment, race and grace. Mary then went on to a great solo career. Every time I ever saw her interviewed she seemed as beautiful inside as out. The Supremes were known as “The Sweethearts of Motown.” Thank you for your music, talent and gorgeous voice. Congratulations on joining the ultimate heavenly choir. Rest in glorious peace.
